French Fridays with Dorie : Tourteau de Chevre and more...

Here is Dorie's recipe for this Friday, It's a cheese cake made with goat cheese and many eggs giving a very spongy and soft wonderful cake. Anita loved it and kept saying how soft it was.
This cake is totally different from cheesecake and from crostata di ricotta.
Please if you want to see more versions of it visit the French Fridays with Dorie site.

As you might know I'm behind with my recipes for FFWD so here is what I made this week:
Bistrot Paul Bert Pepper Steak (with Frites, of course)

Garlicky Crumb-Coated Broccoli

Caramel Topped Semolina Cake

I love how puffy yout torteau de chevre is - I used a pan that was bigger than it should have been so I didn't get much puffing. Your photo of the caramel semolina cake reminds me of how good it was - and I have semolina in the cupboard ...

Everything looks wonderful! I hadn't joined in by the time the semolina cake made it into the rotation but definitely need to try it out.

You have a lovely array of Dorie's recipes here! If I missed some, I don't think I'll have the energy to play catch up. Your tourteau looks almost cake like, I'm impressed!

Wow - that's quite the round up. And you reminded me how much I liked that semolina cake. Time to make it again!

I only started FFWD last week, so the bistrot paul bert steak was the first I made with the group. Your other pictures make me want to go back and catch up! Yum!

Well done with all the cooking! Wow! I never got to make the semolina cake, either, but will have to try that soon for sure.

Your Torteau looks awesome. What is that you served with it? Candied fruit of some kind, I think, but I can't tell what. It looks good.
Congrats on your "catch up" recipes. They also look delicious.

Oh my - great job all around. I can't believe how many recipes you knocked out this week. It is all I can do to make it through on most weeks and I have Nana helping me :) Your dishes all looked lovely and brought back great memories. That broccoli was one of our favs. Nana and I enjoyed the tourteau big time as well. Great job!

I love how tall and airy your torteau looks in the photos. I have the semolina cake bookmarked, joined FFwD late and never got to make that recipe.

All of your completed recipes look so great! I didn't get to make the Tourteau de Chevre this week but really must put it on my scheduled recipes list. You knocked it out of the park!
