TWD Tartest Lemon Tart

And here is my polka dot brulee tartest lemon tart ! The recipe was chosen by Babette of Babette Feasts and we really enjoied it ! I decided to try my soldering tool to make the brulee topping but maybe I used the wrong sugar and too little ! I made the tart without 1/2 a cup of sugar following Nancy's advise , I used all the lemons with the pith and without blanching them and it wasn't tart at all.
I meant to take a shot at a slice but when I came back with my camera here is what I found !!

LOL - looks like someone thought their need for the slice was greater than yours. Terrific job.

I am so glad you liked this! I wanted to brulee mine and it got eaten too fast--loved the shot of the slice after you went off to find your camera!...And for the record, the pith doesn't make the tart sour so much as it makes it bitter...which isn't a problem if you have thin-skinned lemons. So many lemons have fluffy, thick skin--thick with pith. That is probably why some people are have bitterness issues. (Heh. bitterness issues.)

Mine bubbled over like a volcano, but it turned out fine after some doctoring :) A little bitter, but I don't think my lemons were of the best quality. DELICIOUS dough!

Love your brulee top! How lucky they didn't just leave you crumbs. Glad someone enjoyed.

I have to admit how nice your idea of brûler it was ingenious... but for a reason that eludes me still, mine got a brûlé topping without me wanting it! LOL ...just like that, it was magical!
Very pretty, Natalia!

Guess it didn't impact the taste!

I'm glad cutting the sugar worked for your tart. And it looks like the fabulous polka dotted tart was popular in your house!

I love that someone got to your slice before you finished with it! Sounds like something that would happen in my house. I bruleed my top too which was really nice texturally.

I love your half eaten slice for the photo! At least they cut it off with a clean edge for your pic - how kind...

Perche' no? Ho fatto il primo pane oggi, che buono! Morbidissimo! Si trova la melassa in Italia?
