TWD Applesauce Spice Bars

This week it was Karen of
Something Sweet by Karen who picked Applesauce Spice Bars.I made the bars as directed but omitted the nuts that were just too much for me and what can I say ? It was a funny feeling to be baking in this heat and more to be baking something that smelled like Christmas ! The most important thing to say is that the bars were really delicious Karen, you made a wonderful choice !
Please visit all the other TWDers who are baking in spite of the heat !

On my, these look beyond decadent! It did feel funny to bake something like this in the summer but we enjoyed them too. Thanks for visiting!

I could go with or without the nuts, no problem there, especially if they look as yummy as yours...very nice!

Finaly, I'm back... th epc is anyways (but I decided to take advantage of the break and make it a weekly holiday!!!)

Wish we had traveled this summer... I would have opted for Italy, and visit you.

Can you freeze some of those till next summer?

Ah, I've been a slacker in visiting lately, same as Elra - those bars look wonderful, and I promise that I'll come around more often as the summer winds down!

These were pretty tasty. This did feel more like a fall treat, but I still enjoyed it even in the heat of summer.
