French Fridays with Dorie : Gerard's Mustard Tart

This is the second recipe we try from Dorie Greenspan's new book Around the French Table and I must tell you that if if Dorie's recipes are all so good this book is a gold mine !
I really enjoied the tart even if I had undercooked the leeks but the most surprisingly delicious thing was the mustardy custard : FABULOUS !!
Now I absolutely want to make the tomatoes' tart as well.
Please visit the new group site and all the tarte makers.

Looks like the days are getting shorter in your part of the world as well. I love the light this time of year.

Yum--that looks so delicious! I joined the group too, but haven't had time to make anything yet. Now that I'm moved, I hope I can join next week, and catch up with the last 2 recipes.

What beautiful presentation, Natalia! Gorgeous. I need to check this one out. I make a tarte aux tomates à la moutarde (recipe is so simple, somewhere on my blog) it's what everyone makes here. I wonder if it's like the one in the Dorie book.
Love!!!

This tart must really be awesome! I've seen it on 3 or 4 other foodie blogs that are in the same "Dorie" group. Yum, Natalia, it looks wonderful. Sounds like the cookbook is a winner that I've got to find! Thanks, Roz

The name of the recipe didn't appeal to me, but based on your description and the photos I'll give it a try! It looks great.
