Elizabeth of Cake or Death? decided on Apple-Apple Bread Pudding this week, I made it as soon as the recipe were revelaled because I loved the way Dorie introduces this pudding.
The pudding is indeed very very nice, I wanted it to be a bit brown but unfortunately the most delicious upper part got burned....but we enjoied it anyway !
In Italy there is no such thing as apple sauce or butter, I had some I had made previously in my friend the Freezer and will look around if any of the Twd bakers have alternatives for it in this wonderful bread pudding.
Please visit Elizabeth for the recipe.

Oh...you should make some home made apple butter and sell it.
People will go gaga over it.
I make it all the time.
Sometimes the burned parts are quite good, especially if there is caramel involved.
Thanks again for explaining the reasoning behind paper towel use in this recipe! :)
This sounds delicious! I liked the crunchy top.
Hello Natalia! So nice to visit your sweet blog here in Italy! I enjoyed this recipe too and also perusing several of your posts. A joy stopping by!
Kindly, ldh
Beautiful, Natalia! In our house, that toasty top part is coveted and someone connives and schemes to make sure he gets it all. Not mentioning any names but this would be a huge hit here.
Burnt bread (aka "crispies" as they are called at my house) is often fought over. ;)
good thing you had some homemade apple butter! sounds great
Applebutter is a favorite of mine from childhood. Now I make it because it's so easy and I can cut the sugar to nearly nothing with the right apples.
So funny, nobody can beat Dorie's recipes.
Saw a lot of rhubarb on the TWD this week, maybe you could sub that. It looks delicious.
mmm would be great w ice cream!
mmmmmmmmmmmm.....che buone!
Im glad you enjoyed it! It looks great!
This looks delicious. I love these crunchy burnt pieces.
Homemade apple butter is the best, and easy to make. I've done pear butter as well. This time I used cherry jam, since local cherries are starting to appear in the markets.
I LOVE apple desserts!
It doesn't look burned to me - it looks just right. Delish and glad your family enjoyed it.
This looks delicious! I love the idea of apple bread pudding. Yum!
Looks delicious! Homemade apple butter would be great.
I like it toasty (not soggy). Looks great.
I think this would still be good without apple butter. It sure looks good. Nice job making this work for you.
Hi Natalia
Unfortunately I have some very sad news about Rosie from Baking Cakes Galore. Could you please pass by my blog. I have written up a tribute for her on my blog and would like everyone who knew her to leave a comment as I will be printing out all the comments to send onto her husband.
