TWD: Cherry-Fudge Brownie Torte

This week's was April of Short + Rose who chose the recipe, and I thought it was a strange combination of flavours starting from black pepper in the brownie but as all of us learned Dorie never fails so everybody was fighting over this wonderful cake !!

In Italy it's very difficult to find dried tart cherries so I substituted these cherries.
I think it would be very nice even without the topping for a faster treat , and speaking of fast I'm sorry my 2 minutes decoration wasn't really a beauty !!
Please visit April's blog for the recipe and the others TWDers for more !

Thank you for baking with me this week! The pepper threw me for a loop too, but I think it just intensified the cherry flavor a little. Great job!

Gorgeous job! I'm not surprised dried tart cherries would be hard to find - I couldn't find them most places either.

You've almost got the spider web thing going on your cake. How appropriate since Halloween is almost here.

lo so che è difficile ma hai visto che invece si stanno diffondendo i dried berries?

nat li ho trovati da naturasi ma costano una fucilata. non so quanto ne valga la pena.

I can only imagine how this cake must be exquisite when made with italian products, everything tastes so much better in your country!

P.s.: I can't believe how witty you are! I've been sick and absent only for a few days... and you're the only one who noticed! Woah... Thanks for missing me! LOL

The brownie layer would be delicious without the topping, but I loved the topping too - in fact, I could eat the topping all by itself! Pretty torte.
