TWD 15 Minute Magic - Chocolate Amaretto Torte
This week's recipe was chosen byHolly of Phe/MOM/enon : the 15 Minute Magic - Chocolate Amaretti Torte. This torte came in a period were what we didn't need is another cake ! So I decided to half the recipe and bake it as mini muffins in a nice mini rose silicon pan . The dough was not the right one for the rose shape but it is so good that it really doesn't matter !
I didn't frost it just to save me from extra calories !
I think it is the ideal torte to bake when you have unexpected company coming ! It's fast, uses simple ingredients and is very good.

Your torte looks absolutely perfect with just a dust of powdered sugar!!
I love the crowns on your mini muffin-tortes, they're so cute. I completely agree about the glaze and the extra calories. This cake is good enough without the glaze so who needs it?
Ciao Natalia,
Your torte look so cute... I love them !!

What a great idea to make minis! The powdered sugar is the perfect touch!
I love your mini muffins Natalia! This cake is just delicious. I'm eating a slice right now. :) Hope you are having a great week!!
The torte looks gorgeous! This is the perfect dessert to throw together for guests coming at the last minute!
Great idea of halfing and skipping the frosting - still looks elegant, delicious, and yes, post-pasqual desserts need to lighten up a little! :)
Oh, your mini tortes look wonderfully cute.
Oh, what a great idea to make these as mini mini tortes, Natalia! I would happily eat one or two or five of those. You are right - this is a great recipe to have when you need to whip up a quick dessert!
Great idea of the torte as Mini muffins!! Lovely...
Sounds good Natalia, love that idea of saving a little bit of calorie.

I like your mini-tortes!
It does look yummy, I think you were right not to use the glaze - it wasn't needed.
What a great idea to use a mini muffin pan - they are so cute!
I love your mini tortes! I think that's even better.
Great idea to make mini torts! I would never have thought to make minis!
This must have been so un-exotic to you who lives amongst lemon, peach and almond trees! (you know how jealous I am! LOL). I dream of the day I can hop on a plane and go back to Italy! (expensive living, but oh! so wonderful!)
The muffins were a great idea, brava! Ciao!
i'm kind of with you on the glaze. i did think about leaving it off to save some calories, but used it anyway. it wasn't that necessary, that whipped cream was all it needed in my opinion. looks great, love the minis. :)
CIAO!
I'll bet you didn't have trouble finding the amaretti, Natalia!! Your minis are cute and this is a good "emergency" cake. The glaze and cream take a bit more time, though.
Nancy
Look good to me.
Your little minis are so cute!! I wish I'd skipped the glaze too. It made the recipe too rich for me.
Oh, what a yummy treat! Very pretty...
Cheers,
Rosa
I love the idea of mini muffins, perfect for a snack on the go.
Good idea Natalia. I have been lucky in that I have an audience for my cakes at work (at least I did - I start a new job this week).
Mmm, this torte looks totally delicious. I love that it comes together so quickly--you're right: perfect for unexpected guests!
